Summer Sundays!

Join Fr Donavan and I for our Summer Sundays lunch after the 10:00 St. Mark’s church service THIS Sunday Smiley (and July 31st and August 7th). We will meet outside of the Youth Center at 11:15 a.m., and you need to bring $5-$10 for lunch. Each week we’ll eat at a different place, so come to reconnect with EYC friends!

7th grade Camp Smiley is coming up August 8th-10th, and we need your help! Youth Council members are required to work at least one day (9 a.m.-2 p.m.) if you're in town! We need help with games, food, and basic supervision. There will be an 8th grade Day on Tuesday where the 8th graders are invited to participate as well. Please let me know if you can help out!

Our first group of pics are from an EYC member's softball game, along with pictures from last week's 5th-6th grade session at Camp Weed:

Our annual trip to Universal Studios for Rock the Universe (RTU) is the weekend of September 9th-11th Smiley! Last chance Smiley! Are you interested in joining St Mark's Youth Council? The Youth Council is made up of Junior and Senior EYC members, and we meet monthly to discuss EYC, and ideas on how to improve and get closer to God. The application for this year's Council is attached to the Blog e-mail!

Quote of the Week Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org: “It is quite ironic that a society that constantly tells its youth to just ‘be yourself’ has also created an environment where ‘being yourself’ is impossible to do, without automatically being judged and written off as just another stereotype.--Kaitlin Junod

The last pictures are from July 10th's Youth Breakfast. I hope that all of you are having a great summer! Remember that God loves you, and so do I Smiley!
