Mission Trip Meeting!

Our 2012 Mission Trips Meeting is THIS Sunday Smiley (10/16), from 6:30-7 p.m. in the Youth Center! Parents and Youth are invited this Sunday to come learn the details of St Mark's EYC's 2012 Mission Trips to Toronto and New Orleans.

We will still have regular EYC (Juniors 5-7 p.m., Seniors 6-8 p.m.), but the meeting will be during our combined games time. In case you haven't gotten the Mission Trip flyer in the mail yet, check it out here:

A $100 deposit on Sunday will secure your spot--sign up for an amazing experience!

Come to our Fall Festival Planning Meeting THIS Tuesday (October 11th), from 7-8 p.m. in the St Mark's church library Smiley! St Mary's Fall Festival (an annual carnival organized by St Mark's EYC for the children of St Mary's Episcopal Church) will be on Sunday, October 30th at the Youth Center, and we need lots of volunteers and planners!

Our first group of pictures this week show a "Shoe Game" gone awry :)...

St Mark's EYC is doing the CROP Walk Smiley! CROP Walk (a Westside walk to help local hunger) is coming up on Sunday, November 6th at 2 p.m. I will be giving out fundraising packets this Sunday at EYC, and you can get more info about CROP Walk here.

Random Holiday
Free smiley Face Courtesy of www.Freesmileys.org: Wednesday (10/12) is International Moment of Frustration Scream Day (wow, that's a long holiday name)! Celebrate at your own risk!

Speaking of random holidays, have you heard of Jesusween Smiley? Yes, there is a group taking over Halloween, encouraging their followers to "take a stand for Jesus" on October 31st instead of "hiding" their faith. Click here for the full scoop. Again, wow (and what a name!)...

The next group of pics include a moment from a Senior High skit!

This week, let's pray for our Mission Trip cities of Toronto and New Orleans.

Quote of the Week Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org: "Here's to the crazy ones. The rebels. The troublemakers. The ones who see things differently. While some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do." --Steve Jobs (RIP)

Check out Sunday's group shot! Remember that God loves you, and so do I Smiley!
