This week, let's pray for the people we will be serving in Toronto and New Orleans on the Summer Mission Trips.

In honor of last night's Academy Awards...

Quote of the Week Smiley: "You know, I'm just trying to matter, and live a good life and make work that means something to somebody. And you have all made me feel that I might have accomplished that tonight. So thank you so much for this honor."--The end of Reese Witherspoon's 2006 Oscar speech

Our final group of pictures show our hunger, and a game called Magic Carpet.  See you Sunday at Follies!  Remember that God loves you, and so do I Smiley!

Overcome Hunger!

Happy Ash Wednesday (is that an oxymoron?)!

St Mark's EYC has been asked to participate in Feed the Lambs Backpack program Smiley, which fills 30 backpacks each week for kids on the Westside. Bring your donations THIS Friday (February 24th)--either to the 30 Hour Famine, or drop them off at church. Let's make a difference! Here is a list of what they need:

The 30 Hour Famine is this weekend (February 24th-25th)! If you can't join us in fasting, you can still help out by volunteering with our group for the Ortega River Run on Saturday morning! Let me know if you are available.

The fast begins at noon on Friday (or after your lunch period). By raising money, and then fasting for 30 hours, you can change the lives of children around the world. Check out the Famine video:

We are meeting at the Youth Center at 6 p.m. on Friday night, and we will end at 7 p.m. Saturday night. We will also be "honored" at the 8:45 service on Sunday (Feb 26th), so make sure to be at church!

Check out some of Sunday night's Mardi Gras decorations:

Mardi Gras!

Happy Valentine's Day Smiley! Let's continue our love revolution by remembering to step out of our comfort zone, and embrace others (at EYC, and in life). We can do it--make a difference!

This Sunday at EYC, we are going to celebrate our last Sunday before Lent Smiley! Our theme will be Mardi Gras (which is Tuesday 2/21), and we'll talk about our bad habits and vices. What are some things that you know you should do, but you do them anyway? Join us in the Youth Center from 5-7 p.m. for Junior High, and 6-8 p.m. for Senior High!

The first group of pictures are from Sunday's EYC:

There is a list of what they need below:
